trees naked and white
stand like sentinels
along snow covered highways
as the sun strolls languidly
along the line of the horizon
in a blue satin negligee
but deciding on an afternoon
of midnight frolic behind her
one sip, and she’s out.
Inspired by Misky’s Twiglet, ‘trees naked and white‘.

Love it. Such unusual imagery, and yet precisely right.
I like the way you’ve captured a moment in this poem.
I liked this – it was super fun!
Naps are under-rated. Hope once your winter sets in you’ll stay safe and warm!
I just finished a romance story in Alaska about the Bush Pilots. I enjoyed the historic and scenic passages.
I could read your observations all day. 🙂
