stand like sentinels
along snow covered highways
as the sun strolls languidly
along the line of the horizon
in a blue satin negligee
pondering brunch
but deciding on an afternoon
cocktail instead.
exhausting months
of midnight frolic behind her
one sip, and she’s out.
