Maybe the best we can hope for is comfort in our own skin…

Too many minds create their own less than perfect sanctuaries.
Moderation in communication and communion of spirit seems a good thing to be called for.
Mercy and grace are needed by all. Nice Etheree.

I like your thinking on creating imperfect sanctuaries. I think we have all built them, they just vary in hurtful degrees…

Lovely Etheree Violet. “spiritual devotions invoke
mercy, since prayer and meditation
fail to squelch- the itch of woolen robes.”
Precious meaning in these words.

A perfect Etheree a million miles away from my thoughts but two sides to every situation. You tell it so well. I love “the itch of woollen robes “

Too many distractions do not enhance prayer life. Avocation-thanks for the new word Violet.

I’m thinking the words coming out of my mind would be far from prayer material.. Thanks, Len.

There are. And few could be so irritating, to me at least, as the constant itch of wool against my skin..

Oh yes, I like this, Violet. That one annoying, persistent factor that seems to control everything. Itchy robes indeed.
