Artic blue
Tempestuous moods
Kiss the moon
Bite the cat
Unbridled squalls of passion
Preclude all romance
Flesh’s slaves
Masticating sex
Subsist on
Table scraps
Luxuria unsated
E’er tightens grasp
Undaunted
By obsession strapped
Moon wrought tool
Feline snatch
Allow just enough drag- to
Remain drugged, along.
A Shadorma written for Tanka Tuesday Poetry Challenge using synonyms for the words Storm and Cold. My choices are italicized.
With a special thanks to Misky for her Twiglet, ‘kiss the moon’.
Saucy! That full moon was is a beauty. I tried to take a photo on the morning of the 21st. I need a better camera!

I rarely see the moon due to my sleep schedule but there are some amazing photos available on Google. Thank you for being here Jules.

I really like the idea of the phrase. It gives it a whole new dimension.

Fantastic, Violet. This is one form that intimidates me (among others), and you pulled it off seamlessly. I love the staccato beat of the imagery and word combinations. Vivid and fervent. π

Thank you D. I am always afraid of having ‘over worded’ myself as I am secretly engaged to a thesaurus….

Ha ha ha. I think many of us are having secret love affairs with our thesauruses. I don’t think you over-worded at all. They were delicious.

There’s a lot to like about this piece. The imagery is spot on and you mad every word count. Good one!

It was your ‘kiss the moon’ that took me there Misky, to me biting the cat was the polar opposite. Thank you again for the wonderful prompt.

Wow!! There is so much passion exploding from your words, Violet. I love “Kiss the Moon, Bite the cat!” And, you continued these sharp phrases throughout! That second Nonet about the vice of lust… Whoa. This is fabulous!! β€
